Councillor Zoë Garbett on Dalston Lane with busy traffic
Join us in Dalston Tuesday 22 November 7:45pm-9:00pm
🌟 Your Councillors Need Your Help 🌟
On Tuesday 22nd November, we'll be organising an online meeting for Dalston and other Hackney members who are interested in getting involved in supporting Councillor Zoë Garbett in important local campaigns and community activities. Zoë will be sharing an update on what she has been up to since being elected in May, and outlining some of the key issues which local people have raised as important to them. These issues raise from implementing new Local Traffic Neighbourhoods, Pension credits and the upcoming Climate Action Plan for the Borough.
How you wish to get involved is up to you, but might include:
💚 Talking with local activist groups to understand their needs
💚 Creating petitions to understand local demand
💚 Raising issues with the press or on social media to gather support for an initiative
As we currently only have 2 Councillors, in comparison to Labour's 50, we need our members to support our actions all year round - this will be essential in us retaining these seats in 2026! Any time you can spare will be greatly appreciated, and no specialist knowledge is required to take part as a volunteer.
Send Chesca an email at [email protected] if you'd like to find out more before the event or if you have any access requirements or technical difficulties.
We can't wait to see you 🌞🌞
All members are reminded of the Safeguarding Commitment and Code of Conduct which they agreed to upon joining the party.
If you are under 18 and would like to attend this event, please ask a parent or guardian to contact the organiser (details below) and sign a consent form.
