💚 Hackney Green Party
If you want to connect and get involved in your local community the Hackney Covid 19 Mutual Aid Facebook group is a great resource for sharing information that people in Hackney would find useful when supporting each other in our local areas.
It also lists WhatsApp groups you can join for each local ward, some of these also have sub groups at individual street levels. Join your local group to get more details.
If you are worried about elderly relatives in other parts of the country, especially those who are not computer literate, it can be helpful to put them in touch with their local group.
A full list of Mutual Aid groups are here
Alternatively a Facebook search will usually bring up a community group in their area and you can ask them to get in contact.
NHS Volunteer Responders
NHS Volunteer Responders has been set up to support the NHS during the COVID-19 outbreak. To do this we need an 'army' of volunteers who can support the 1.5m people in England who are at most risk from the virus to stay well. Our doctors, nurses and other professionals will be able to refer people in to NHS Volunteer Responders and be confident that they have been matched with a reliable, named volunteer.

We need your help to grow 🌱
We are getting closer realising our dream but not there yet of having a part time staff member to help us step up activities here in Hackney and help ensure we get Greens elected.
Our plan is to increase donations by around £350/month and we're 56% there already! 😀
Can you get us to 100%? 📈
We could get there by:
✅ 18 people giving £10/month, or
✅ 9 people giving £20/month, or
✅ 12 people giving £15/month
We've had a shared staff member for short periods in the past and it makes an amazing difference having someone who can be focussed on keeping our campaigns organised and our members co-ordinated.
Hackney Green Party members are hard at work all year round - campaigning on local issues, sweating over press releases, delivering leaflets and canvassing for support in forthcoming elections.
We would love for you to help us make a difference either by coming to one of the events above or by simply donating here.
If you have any feedback on this newsletter or suggestions for items to include next week then email Graham Woodruff at firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadline for content for the Friday email is Thursday 1pm, only Hackney Green Party items will definitely be listed, others may be if they fit our values and there is enough time and space to add them.
Not a member?
We are proud to do politics differently but we need determined, caring people like you to help us make it happen. Join the thousands of people who are already members and stand up for what matters.
