July Social: Presenting the inaugural HGP Book Club

For this inaugural meeting of our HGP book club we'll be discussing Reni Eddo-Lodge's acclaimed, best-selling first book: Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race.

You can get the book at the following local bookshops or borrow from a friend!

This will be a relaxed discussion event on our thoughts on the issues raised by the book. All welcome.

The event will open 15 minutes early for anybody who is a newer member of Hackney Green Party to come and say hello to other new members and some longer standing members and find out a bit more about the activities of Hackney Greens.

If you've got an idea for a book you'd like to discuss at a future book club do get in touch. We'll be aiming to have these as our social event every 2 months (to allow people plenty of reading time!).

All members are reminded of the Safeguarding Commitment and Code of Conduct which they agreed to upon joining the party.
If you are under 18 and would like to attend this event, please ask a parent or guardian to contact the organiser (details below) and sign a consent form.
