Hackney’s draft Climate Action Plan for 2023-2030
Our regular monthly Policy and Ideas meetings are an opportunity for members to contribute to and discuss local party strategy and to understand and inform policies.
Each month we will select a topic to give each one enough space to have a detailed discussion and to make real progress.
This month we will be looking at the Hackney Council's consultation on their draft Climate Action Plan for 2023-2030.
The Climate Action Plan (CAP) sets out an integrated approach for tackling the climate and ecological crisis. It provides a framework for everyone to take action to reduce emissions and adapt to the climate change that is already occurring.
You can read the full draft of the plan here

The aim for this meeting will be to get a group of members together to form a response to this consultation, we will discuss key areas of research ad concern and draft a timetable to respond.
We will be joined by Cllr Alastair Binnie-Lubbock
All members are reminded of the Safeguarding Commitment and Code of Conduct which they agreed to upon joining the party.
