Hackney Council’s massive “regeneration” project on the Woodberry Downs Estate is raising a number of issues including social cleansing, felling of mature trees and plans to build a gas-powered heating plant. There is an opportunity for local Green Party members and supporters to provide much-needed scrutiny and opposition, on this and wider issues in the neighbourhood.

With a Council by-election coming up on 6 May, following the resignation of Jon Burke as Woodberry Downs councillor, this is a great time for you as members to help shape our campaigning work.
