  Let's start this new year with some positive green vibes!

  Let's take another step in turning Hackney Green 💚 with this sociable Green Action Afternoon.

  💚 Meeting at 225 Evering Road, Hackney Downs at 2pm on Saturday 11th January.💚
  

  We will door-knock in pairs (for those who want to meet residents) - no experience is necessary and there's always an option to deliver leaflets in pairs.

  There will be full training provided and friendly Greens on hand to support every volunteer.

  This essential campaign activity gives us the best chance of getting more Green policies passed at Hackney council, and electing Green Councillors in local elections. The social, climate and ecological crises demands the need for Greens voices in the room. We need your help today.

  Come & join us in Dalston as we head out into the ward to knock on doors, wish residents a Happy New Year and tell them about the great work our Green team have lined up for Hackney in 2025!

  We will meet outside CLR James Library (on Dalston Square) at 1pm.

  During our action day, we knock on doors and speak to residents to get the word out about what Zoë, Alastair and newly elected Liam stand for and listen to their concerns and feedback.

  The team will provide a full briefing and training at the start of the event, and you'll be buddied up with someone experienced if you are relatively new. No need to prepare anything in advance, just bring yourself and some comfy shoes.

• December Business Meeting

  Join us for this month's in-person business meeting!

  When: 7.30pm-9pm, Wednesday 11th December.

  Where: The Old Fire Station (main hall), 61 Leswin Road, London N16 7NX.

  The Business Meetings are a vital space for members of the Hackney Green Party to come together and develop our strategies - as we continue to transform Hackney Green Party into the main opposition party on Hackney Council.

  We will hear directly from our elected councillors and local officers about their work at Hackney council. They will share their successes and discuss forthcoming projects and challenges. We will make plans for the upcoming months and beyond.

  We invite new and experienced members alike to get involved in our strategies and campaigns. New members: please let us know if you would like a "buddy" to welcome you at this and future meetings, and to help you become a fully-involved member of your local green party.
