Your candidates in Hackney Wick

Jam Anker

Jam (JamJam) Anker is a longstanding community organiser in Hackney Wick. They care deeply about the area and wants to help make it work better for the people who live there. Jam is passionate about building a stronger local community, where residents can access practical support, feel more connected, and have real opportunities to develop, whether professionally, creatively, or through local organisations and shared spaces.
Jam says, “Imagine, a Wick that provides you food, legal-aid, support for your family, home, work or even Football Club! Opportunities to develop yourselves, professionally or creatively.
Well, let’s make it happen! The power to do so lies in our togetherness. I would start by organising regular communal gatherings, for all different parts of the neighbourhood, aimed at bringing us together, and finding out what we each need to take part."
Aaron Briddon

Aaron Briddon lives in Hackney with his young family and is standing because he wants a better future for the next generation. A long-time Labour voter, he joined the Green Party to push for real action on housing, rising costs and protecting local communities.
He runs a business in the care and education sector, helping people build careers and supporting essential services. Aaron believes local government should work better for ordinary families.
Aaron says: “As a parent, I want Hackney to be a place where families feel secure, supported and able to build a future.”
Tyrone Scott

Tyrone served on the Young Greens Executive Committee, and chaired the Global Majority Greens, shaping Green Party policy. He stood as the Green parliamentary candidate for Hackney South and Shoreditch in 2019, and is respected in the party and beyond as a campaigner and community organiser.
He says, “Hackney Wick deserves bold representation— standing up for tenants, protecting our community spaces, and building a greener, fairer borough for everyone.”
