Brenda Puech

Brenda has lived in London Fields for 25 years and has been deeply involved in community life. She has led a Tenants and Residents Association, sits on committees of Hackney Living Streets, Hackney Cycling Campaign, the London Fields User Group, and the Hackney Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and founded the Parklets Campaign. Brenda has worked constructively with council officers and councillors on transport and planning. Professionally, she is a disability access consultant with a background in architecture and planning, and an MSc in Environmental Economics from the LSE.

Brenda says, “People are hungry for clear information; I want to make sure they’re heard and helped”.

Kwame Otiende

Kwame has lived and worked in Hackney for over 20 years, runs one of Hackney’s most popular grassroots venues and a food bank. He understands the pressures residents face around housing, the cost of living, pressure on businesses and public services. Through this work, Kwame has built trusted relationships with residents, artists, local businesses, police, and council officers, balancing creativity with practical problem-solving. Kwame says, “I want to bring a fresh, practical perspective to council representation. Listening, acting, and working collaboratively to improve public services, support vulnerable groups, and strengthen community engagement.
