Your candidates in Stamford Hill West

Joe Cush

Joe Cush has worked for trade unions for the last five years, fighting for workers’ rights and holding powerful bosses to account. He brings experience of organising and campaigning in a complex sector. As a young person renting in London, he is passionate about housing and would tackle extortionate rents and unacceptable living conditions in the borough. As a keen cyclist, he brings experience of cycling campaigns and charities across London.
Joe says "I will rely on my experiences as a young person living and working in Hackney to drive my work as a councillor. This means fighting for affordable housing, cleaner air, and better healthcare outcomes for Hackney residents."
Greg Houston

Greg has been a Hackney resident since early 2022. He relocated to London from Toronto, Canada after a day job opportunity. He's been working in Project Management for almost 20 years and organizing community events for the past 12 years. A political science graduate that has also moonlighted as a Bingo Host, Comedian, Music Presenter, and Pizza Art Curator. Community and life experiences are what drive Greg. As a life-long renter and someone that has experienced financial insecurity, the policies of the Green Party perfectly align with his ethos.
Greg says, "I'm excited to help lead the ward and the council into a better place for residents. I want to increase the access to healthy food, activities, and places. And make Stamford Hill Station fully accessible."
