Ifhat has lived in Hackney for nearly 30 years, including 5 in Stoke Newington, and has witnessed the borough’s transformation as rising rents price out local people. She has been an active board member of her local Sure Start, a governor at her children’s primary school and a parent advocate. Ifhat has always championed equality and justice, raising awareness of domestic abuse, mental health and hidden disabilities. She works in an administrative role within the NHS and serves as a union steward.

Jacob Cable

Jacob Cable is a Finance and People Analyst at Transport for London, where he scrutinises public finances and organisational practices. He brings a detailed understanding of how large public institutions operate, alongside a particular passion for transport policy and accessibility. He has deep family roots in Hackney and contributed to grassroots campaigns to protect local spaces. Jacob believes effective local government depends on transparency, efficiency, and decisions that genuinely improve residents’ daily lives.
Jacob says, “I trust people’s ability to understand our budget. I want to open up the process and make it work for Hackney residents.”
Reiner Tegtmeyer

Reiner, a Stoke Newington resident for nineteen years, is a German-born teacher, agriculturist, and environmental and human rights researcher. He is a stalwart of the Stoke Newington community, volunteering with Abney Park Cemetery, collecting and delivering food donations for North London Action for the Homeless (NLAH), and is a Steering Group member of Sustainable Hackney and actively supports Palestine Solidarity and Hackney Cycling Campaigns. Reiner pledges, ”As a councillor, I will listen to residents, give them a voice, and work hard and with compassion to further social justice, and a greener and healthier Hackney, rooted in its vibrant, diverse communities”.
*Green Councillor Liam Davis has made the difficult decision not to seek re-election in Stoke Newington, after careful consideration of his housing situation, other professional work and health.
Liam says, “It has been the greatest privilege to represent our home of Stoke Newington. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and deeply grateful to residents for their trust and support.”
