Florence Cullen-Davies

Florence grew up down the road in Haringey and spent 10 years working in NHS child and adolescent mental health services before returning to education to complete a PhD in the psychology of climate change and how this relates to conceptions of economic justice. Her experiences have given her the empathy necessary for casework, and the rigour required to scrutinise policy. She is expecting her first child this April.
Florence says, “The one thing that truly motivates me is knowing that I’m helping others- not by being a sticking plaster, but by getting to the root of the issue.”
Esther Jones Russell

Esther was brought up in Hackney. She works in sport at local, national and international levels for inclusion and accessibility. She helped deliver programmes for disabled people at two football World Cups, launched cricket’s national youth leadership programme, and served as Club Secretary for one of Hackney’s largest – and most inclusive – women’s football teams. She chairs the Inclusion Advisory Group for the Amateur FA and has served as a trustee for a refugee inclusion charity.
Esther says, “I’m standing as a Ward Councillor because I firmly believe that policies and places should be designed by the people they impact the most. It would be an honour to serve the brilliant community that I grew up in.”
