On Saturday 20th June, the Hackney Greens will join what looks to be the biggest protest of the year, marching through central London against austerity.
The next five years will see ideological cuts to the things ordinary people care about, and this is our chance to put the Green Party at the fore of the anti-austerity movement. If you haven't had the opportunity to join a Green event before, this is the perfect chance.
We’re aware that it can be tricky to find people in a massive crowd, and that turning up to a protest on your own can be a bit daunting. For that reason, Hackney Greens will be meeting at the steps of Saint Paul’s Cathedral from 11, before joining the main march at 12. We’ll have banners and flags, and you can call us on 07931939178 if you get lost.
Post-march, a few of the Hackney Greens will be heading to a pub near by and we're also hosting an social later in the evening. We'll be heading to the Howl at the Moon from 7.30pm. All members, supporters, family and friends welcome even if you didn't make it to the March. Again, give us a call on 07931939178 if you can't find us.
