February Policy and Ideas - Law and Architecture

Our monthly Policy and Ideas meetings are an opportunity for members to learn about, investigate and discuss topics of relevance to the campaigning work we do.

This month we are delighted to present two important talks:

Maria Smith, an architect, engineer, writer and curator working across disciplines to bring the built environment in line with planetary limits, will be talking about decarbonising buildings and construction.

Oliver Carter, a public law and human rights solicitor at Irwin Mitchell in London will be talking about his work challenging local authorities, and discuss how public bodies make decisions and how we can use the law to oppose them.

After each talk there will be time for a members Q & A and discussion.

Meeting starts at 7:30pm prompt  - room will be open from 7:15pm onwards so please come early so we can start on time.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

All members are reminded of the Safeguarding Commitment and Code of Conduct which they agreed to upon joining the party.
If you are under 18 and would like to attend this event, please ask a parent or guardian to contact the organiser (details below) and sign a consent form.
