Rectory Road is in urgent need of improvement. TfL consulted on changes to the one-way gyratory, however those plans have stalled. Residents shouldn't have to wait for improvements to the streetscene to slow traffic, improve walking and cycling and the overall quality of the street. This is why we are calling on TfL to:
- Extend the bus lane along the length of Rectory Road
- Plant more street trees - to help with air pollution, cooling the road and the general appearance
- Investigate the possibility of a stopping place for deliveries to residents
- Increase 20mph signage in the area
- Consider again scrapping the Rectory Road gyratory
