Hackney Council have announced they will be part of a devolution of health and social care pilot, one of five London boroughs to take part in the pilot scheme.

According to information obtained by the Green Party using the Freedom of Information Act, the cost of homelessness in Hackney in 2009/10 was £3,092,255 compared to £7,167,440 in 2014/15. Over the same period of time, spending on staff was cut from £3,239,653 to £2,608,491.
